First Shot Outfitters and Double B Kennels have teamed
up to offer almost 500,000 acres of some of the best quail country in the United States. In the 2006/2007 season,
while most quail outfitters had to shut down due to lack
of birds, we were still killing the limits, and pushing 20 covey days. When it comes to quail hunting, we are the
best!
This season looks to be better than ever since we have
had a good amount of rainfall, at the right times. Our hunts are fully outfitted, which means we supply food (home cooking second to
none), lodging (newly constructed lodge), dogs (all professionally trained, seasoned pointers), and
professional guides (not some guy with a couple dogs looking to make some Christmas money).
We are usually booked up by July, but we do reserve a few dates for new customers. Our business is 99% repeat customers, with most booking their next trip before they leave. That speaks volumes for our
company!
Pricing
Our price is $925 per hunter / per day with three hunters per guide. This includes
the night of arrival and the morning of departure. A
group needs to consist of at least six (6) people to have exclusive use of the lodge. Otherwise, we may combine small groups in the lodge. When putting together your group, remember multiples of three work best, but not required.
