We offer the full range of dog training services such as introducing 6 month old pups to gun fire and birds, all the way through to getting the older dog steady to wing and shot. We also do specialized training such as force breaking to retrieve and correcting specific problems.
We believe in training a dog the way you hunt. Drawing from multiple time tested methods we will train your dog to work the way you want it to work. However, we do believe in learning the basics FIRST. It doesn't make any sense to put 'em on the track with out first installing the brakes and steering. So first things are first. That means we start with whoa and here. We believe that these two commands are all your dog will usually need, and they lay the groundwork to allow your dog to progress through the rest of their
training...however far you would like us to take them.
Our policy is pretty simple. You bring your dog in. We will discuss your expectations and come up with a plan that includes an evaluation period of two weeks. Training fees are paid in advance. At the end of the two week evaluation period, if I don't think I can help your dog, I will refund all but $200.00 of your money. This arrangement helps avoid customers putting a lot of investment in a dog that isn't responding to the training, yet allows me to recover something for my time and birds used on your dog.
We only take a limited number of dogs. I personally work each dog, and also care of them in the kennels, so we can't take in more than I can handle. Your dog will not be passed on for the "help" to work while the "real" pro works other more important trial dogs,
etc. Neither will it sit in a kennel for someone else to take care of for long periods of time. Your dog is important as any other dog here.
Your dog will get worked. And as noted above, we don't believe in grinding dogs through a rigid course of instruction, so your dog will get the individual attention necessary to get it working like you want it to.
