Thank you for your interest in Double B Kennels. My name is Brent Boedeker, and together with my family I own and operate Double B Kennels.
I was raised in West Texas around dogs and was a constant participant
in bird hunting adventures while growing up. I was so entrenched in this sport that I am unable to remember ever being without a bird dog. My family and I do not consider our efforts to be that of a commercial breeding kennel. While we do breed a couple of litters per year, our main focus and effort is in training and working a string of top quality pointers. We use these proven dogs to guide hunts and compete in field trials. In addition to the dogs we breed, we also take in a limited number of dogs for training. We will help your dog find its full potential by utilizing time-tested methods that are strategically tailored to your needs.
From October through February, you will find me (and the dogs) in
West Texas, where we have almost 500,000 acres under contract. The available acreage we make use of stretches from Coleman to Garden City. During quail season, we hunt or train just about every day, and the quality of the properties we lease is second to none. Year in and year out we have access to an abundance of wild birds, provide first class lodging for visitors, serve food that is to die for, and offer unparalleled customer service. Simply put, no one will work harder for you and the dogs than we will. All of these services and amenities are possible through our partnership with First Shot Outfitters.
